About Angel
Angel Carlock is a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas and has been seeing clients for over 10 years. She received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a Clinical Emphasis. Angel has worked with individuals, groups, and couples counseling for several non-profits. She has taught classes on emotional healing and has provided marital counseling through Prepare-Enrich.

Prepare-Enrich Counseling
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling involves one-on-one sessions with a trained counselor in which, as a team, the counselor and the client address immediate or near-future concerns. Sessions may include guidance to conflict in the workplace or in one’s home life; dealing with grief; exploring one’s feelings, beliefs, memories, or behaviors; or even working to gain a better understanding of oneself and those around them.
Individual counseling sessions are held in a safe, caring, and confidential environment, forming a bond between the counselor and the client that enables trust and personal growth. Many seek therapy for a variety of reasons and durations. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, or personal growth, you are not alone. Some may desire as few as five or six sessions while others several years, depending upon the client’s goals and needs.
Everyone has problems that they are dealing with; however, we believe that counseling helps us to learn how to better approach what life throws at us by providing perspective, personal growth, and awareness.
Couples Counseling
Couples counseling involves therapy between a counselor and a pairing of those involved in some form of a relationship. This relationship can be either romantic (dating, engaged, married) or platonic (parent/child, parent/relative, friendship, etc). During these sessions, the counselor works to identify points of conflict/aspects about the relationship the couple wishes to change and works to determine a common goal and plan of action in order to better the couple’s happiness and fulfillment.
These sessions are held in a comfortable and confidential environment in which the counselor, along with the couple, is able to safely explore factors that may be impacting the couple’s relationship. During these sessions, the counselor will work along with the couple to develop personalized goals and steps to take in order to work towards a resolution. We believe that addressing issues or conflict and learning steps to maintain a healthy relationship help to protect and strengthen the long-term happiness of our couples.
Prepare-Enrich
(Pre-marital/Marital)
Prepare-Enrich counseling is a superior and customized relationship/couples assessment tool that has been scientifically validated since 1977. Prepare-Enrich has been a primary program for premarital counseling, marriage enrichment, couples counseling, marriage mentoring and education that is based upon each couple’s unique relationship stage, challenges, spiritual orientation, personalities, situation, and strengths and weaknesses.
The Prepare-Enrich inventory is completed by each partner individually by answering approximately two hundred questions. These inventories provide the counselor with a ten-page feedback profile including graphs, charts, and diagrams to better understand and determine where the point of conflict/tension lies.
